Wild Oats cast

As Edwa, in Variety, puts it:

"Plot elements include standard mistaken identities, long lost son reunited with parents, long estranged parents finding each other, evil landlord (Emma Grdina) foreclosing at the drop of a tumbleweed, an F Troop type of cavalry, an Indian guide who speaks with an Irish brogue (John Carlson), a crusty colonel (Hunter Muckel) who's offspring are all over the wild west...

a hero (Tony Campana) who stops a
speeding train with one hand...

a foppish son (Ben Goldenberg) who's been kicked
out of more military schools than he can count...

...and a lustful and slithery preacher (Clarke Remmers), who tries to control the large estate of Kate (Alisa Bochnowski). "

And so it goes—resulting happily enough, in a slambang, wildly funny farce which provides both a field day for performers and an experience of sheer delight for audiences.

"Guys & Dolls" cast

Sarah & Sky

Guys and Dolls is set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy – soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon:

Sarah Brown (Stephanie Sepiol), the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Time Square;

Sky Masterson (Hunter Muckel), the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love.

Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer, whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years;

while Nathan Detroit, her devoted fianceé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game, has successfully avoided walking the aisle.

Nathan & Sky

In order to raise a thousand dollars to rent a garage for his next crap game,  Nathan wagers Sky that he could not take any doll to Havana with him.

Accepting the bet, Nathan chooses the buttoned-up mission doll, Sarah Brown.

The mission is in danger of being closed by headquarters if no one shows for the next prayer meeting.

Sky finally persuades Sarah to go to with him by promising to deliver a dozen sinners if she will fly to Havana for dinner.

Unknowingly indulging in several Cuban cocktails, Sarah reveals her wild side, but Sky does not take advantage of her and he returns Sarah to New York with her virtue in tact.

However, Adelaide discovers Nathan's latest crap game, and he pleads for her to remain his doll.

When all Nathan's crapshooters are discovered by Lt Brannigan wearing red carnations, Nathan says it is a bachelor dinner and agrees to marry Adelaide as a cover.

Nathan & Adelaide

Sarah & Adelaide

Sarah and Adelaide and lament their gambling men's ways, and together decide in song to "Marry The Man Today" as the only way to reform the men they love.

Everything works out in the end, thanks to the machinations of Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling's hilarious, fast-paced book and Frank Loesser's bright, brassy, immortal score, which takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City. Funny and romantic, Guys And Dolls is ideal for audiences of any age.

Guys and Dolls
is based on a short story by Damon Runyon, “The Idyll Of Miss Sarah Brown,” also borrowing characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably "Pick the Winner."

With memorable Frank Loesser songs:

Luck Be A Lady Tonight
Bushel and a Peck
Guys and Dolls
I’ve Never Been in Love Before
I’ll Know
If I were a Bell
Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat
and many more!

"Guys and Dolls is the perfect musical comedy. This is why Broadway was born! One of the funniest and melodious shows...everything about it seems practically perfect."

Guys and Dolls will run Thursday, May 1; Friday, May 2; Saturday, May 3 at 7pm, and Sunday, May 4 at 2pm in Munster Auditorium. Tickets are $7 (senior and student tickets are $5) plus our special “SHOWPAK” with one ticket for each performance is only $25.
