"An entertaining, fanciful high comedy leaving the audience with a feeling that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection has not been entirely lost in the world" - Samuel French catalog

Her deceased husband has left Mrs Ethel Savage (Renee Albrecht-Mallinger) a multimillion-dollar fortune, and she proceeds to establish a memorial fund for "people with a desperate need to be foolish". Her three adult step-children a senator (Joey Manderino), a judge (Lenny Weiss), a socialite (Colleen Summers) however have their own less-noble plans for the family fortune. Mrs Savage has converted the entire fortune into negotiable securities and hidden them, causing them to commit her to The Cloisters, an upscale sanitarium until she "regains her senses."

While in The Cloisters, she meets the other "guests"; Hannibal (Craig Talbot), Fairy May (Jodi Rosenthal), Jeffrey  (Matthew Domasica), Florence (Jordan Richardson), and Mrs Paddy (Christina Bernacchi) who quickly charm Mrs Savage despite their gentle delusions, and in getting to know them realizes she could find happiness in her new circumstances. They are under the watchful care of Dr Emmett (Andrew Bridgeman) and nurse Miss Willie (Carolyn Jania).

Her step-children motivated by their greed begin brow-beating her into revealing the location of the hidden fortune. So Mrs Savage sends each of them on a personal "quest" to locate the securities resulting in each of them being publicly humiliated.
Don't miss this thoughtful comedy which is suitable for all ages.

Robert’s would-be bride, Tonya Panpanya (Molly Hanson), who was promised to him when he was eleven, returns to claim him for her own. Inevitably Robert's two worlds collide as his bizarre gypsy relatives scheme to retrieve him from the enticements of his Establishment colleagues, but somehow the antic turns and twists of the plot bring all the loose ends together in time for a happy, and  wonderfully wacky, ending.

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren

was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Godmother, and Bernadette Peters as the Stepmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
